Woods Species: Picana (Bolivia) & Canarywood (South America); Canarywood (South America) & Macacauba (Central and South America); Picana (Bolivia) & Macacauba (Central and South America); Canarywood (South America) and Maple
Picana (Corida spp.) is a tight-grained, medium-textured wood from Bolivia, a close relative of Bocote, which is evident by its definitive black streaks but with a more reddish tone.
Macacauba (Platymiscium spp.) heartwood color ranges from bright red to a darker reddish- or purplish-brown color, commonly with darker strips. Sapwood is clearly demarcated yellow to white. Grain is straight to interlocked, with a medium to fine texture.
Each piece is handcrafted from real hardwood, so natural variations in wood grain, color, and layout are to be expected. While the wood species you select will match, the pattern and proportions of each strip may vary slightly—making your item truly one-of-a-kind. Product photos are examples to show overall style and craftsmanship.
If a hardwood is out of stock, you can either sign up for the waitlist and will be notified when it is back in stock OR you can complete a request form regarding the product you wish me to build.
